Our Opportunity:

The Director, Workspace Strategy and Reporting is responsible for forecasting the firm’s space requirements across our regional centers.  The position will interface with business leaders to understand future plans.  In addition, the candidate will work with partners in Finance and HR to gather information in support of developing recommendations for the firm’s real estate expansion/contraction.  The candidate will track and report on occupancy by business line as well as in aggregate.  The position requires strong analytical skills as well as advanced communication and excellent judgment. 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Provides research, analysis, reporting and interpretation of occupancy metrics, demographics and business strategy in an effort to provide recommendations and proposed solutions for the firm’s occupancy needs
  • Collaborates with other team members and partner organizations to gain business intelligence and incorporate information regarding labor market/workforce assessments as appropriate 
  • May conduct periodic interviews of business unit and other client leaders to identify future business direction related to growth, labor, market changes and other issues that could impact real estate requirements or provide insights relative to strategic and/or optimization-focused initiatives as required 
  • Develops scenario space planning tools/models (exit/maintain/grow); Prepares forecasts and analyzes space planning trends under various business conditions 
  • Provides portfolio information to support monthly business reviews, benchmarking initiatives, corporate requirements and ad hoc requests; Produces reporting for each business/regional allocation of seats
  • Supports existing portfolio metrics and development of new metrics to support monitoring and executive decision making
  • Collaborates with the team to ensure accuracy of occupancy data within the system of record

 What you have:

  • 10-15 years of experience in Corporate Workplace Strategy and Occupancy planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at senior executive levels effectively, and to interact with vendors, clients and associates at all levels.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel & Visio). CAFM systems experience helpful.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
  • Ability to collaborate, problem solve and multi-task.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
