Our Opportunity: 

To ensure Charles Schwab fulfills its purpose of financial fitness for all by delivering high quality, consultative conversations with an eye toward improving the client and participant experience.  

Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Client Services organization by supporting our Client Service Manager and Relationship manager partners.  This will be accomplished by shaping our day to day service strategies across our core segments of clients. And the CSS will be responsible for reporting and research while ensuring that activities are being done in compliance of the plan provisions.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide ongoing support of our clients through the creation and support of plan sponsor research and reporting functions as outlined in the CSS roles & responsibilities document
  • Assist with Payroll processing, loan analysis, forfeitures, statements, stock admin, issue tracking, work requests and document requests as outlined in the CSS roles and responsibilities document.
  • Fulfill Work Request tasks requiring research and follow-up with client
  • Process Service Agreement Amendments
  • Periodically communicate directly with plan sponsor on day to day plan needs

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience demonstrating a basic understanding of ERISA, pension/trust compliance, DC and DB plans
  • Prefer 2+ years of successful experience in Qualified Retirement Plans/Trust Administration.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of ERISA and Non-Qualified plan design
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • Understands the importance of diversity
  • Must be open to new ideas in order to support the continuous evolution of the Client Services organization and the Schwab organization as a whole. Flexibility and the ability to shift gears and embrace new ideas and team needs are critical to success
  • High achievement orientation.  Measures success through quantitative results
  • Articulate communicator with good listening skills.  Presents well on the phone, in meetings and through email communications.
