As we continue to expand the remediation of vulnerabilities associated with our server and desktop infrastructure patching as mandated by regulatory agencies, internal Corporate Risk Management and best practices, we require staff to review, coordinate and manage the remediation effort. These teams support the continuous maintenance of over 50,000 endpoints. The volume of tasks requires dedicated staff to work with ISRM, App Dev teams and Systems Admins primarily to create and manage Archer Findings, Exceptions and Remediation Plans, and assist with scheduling patch times that meet the business demands for uptime across various application environments. This role also monitors and reports progress against success or failure as part of our first line of defense, as well as foster completion of remediation efforts per SLA.
What you’ll do:
This role is required to track, manage and ensure a timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities across the Window and Linux platforms. Also to work with other TIS groups to assist them in the same. This position supports server and desktop security vulnerability remediation efforts across all Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. lines of business by coordinating required security patch implementations and application configuration changes. The role will analyze reports generated by our vulnerability detection and reporting system (Qualys) for numerous qualities including accuracy, duplicate entries, missed items, etc. For any items that cannot meet our SLA for vulnerability remediation this role is responsible for opening and tracking Archer items to completion. Upon completion of the review this position will construct and deliver task specific work items to the System Admins and Application Support Groups/Owners that will guide the remediation of the identified vulnerabilities. The role is also responsible for coordinating the correction or removal of invalid data elements in the reports with ISRM.
What you have:
The position requires excellent coordination skills and the ability to get work done through successful negotiations with others. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. The ability to be persistent with tracking is a needed quality. A general knowledge of the Windows and Linux systems environment is needed. As this is an evolving area of the business, flexibility and the ability to identify and recommend changes as the processes continues to mature and the threat landscape changes is required.
