What you’ll do: 

Mutual Fund Support Services provides assistance to retail brokers and third party mutual fund companies with questions related to mutual fund trading at Charles Schwab. We are looking for a specialist who is eager to learn and comfortable in an environment that can change constantly. We primarily provide assistance to internal brokers and consultants with mutual fund questions on our retail platform. Along with phone calls we also process mutual fund exceptions, AIP, dividend macros, and update Mutual Fund Center. 

What you have: 

  • Minimum of 2+ years exposure to the back-office operations or customer service phone teams of a brokerage or financial services firm
  • Brokerage/Operations, mutual fund and/or record keeping experience
  • Detail orientated, analytical and research oriented; ability to identify and solve issues proactively and independently; adept at complex problem resolution
  • Cultivates productive working relationships within the team as well as other departments  
  • Independently and collaboratively exercises good judgment and decision making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as focus on improving the client experience.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workloads and complete tasks in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment is essential. 
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • The ability to understand and mitigate risk. 
  • The ability to maintain a positive attitude during times of heavy volume and/or change.
  • Series 7 & 63 required
