Our Opportunity:

Enhance the Plan Sponsor experience by providing project management services to key clients, where success is defined by effective coordination, flawless execution, and ultimately client satisfaction.nbsp; nbsp;nbsp;

What yoursquo;ll do:

As mentioned above, the mission of Client Project Management is to satisfy requests by the service team or the client for project management of certain initiatives or events impacting the retirement plan. CPM partners with the Schwab Service Team to understand a client's needs, determine objectives, and define scope. CPM further develops the project plan, engaging with the appropriate Schwab stakeholders while managing the project plan through to completion.nbsp; CPM also communicates updates to the client to ensure project goals and outcomes continue to align with client's expectations. Other specific areas of focus may include project managing:

  • Complex and/or non-standard technology enhancements requested for a specific client
  • Introducing a unique service or offer to a specific client that requires project management to coordinate development and implementation
  • An operational process change or improvement impacting a given client
  • Plan-related events including conversions, de-conversions, mergers, and acquisitions in conjunction with the Conversion group. Involvement from CPM is warranted based on high levels of complexity and customization.
  • Any combination of the above. It is likely that a national account experiencing multiple events such as those listed above would be a consideration for involving CPM.
  • The specific project management responsibilities of the CPM group include:
  • Creating and managing to a project plan:
  • Outlining project objectives, deliverables, scope, and work streams for both business and technology objectives
  • Creating timelines and managing action items
  • Identifying needed resources including roles and responsibilitiesnbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;
  • Resolving open questions and documenting key decisions
  • Managing risks and escalating issues
  • Facilitating meetings with internal and external partners
  • Drafting and disseminating communications such as project updates to the project team, stakeholders, third party vendors, and clientsnbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;
  • Partnering with Relationship Management/Service Team throughout the project, fostering an environment for open communications, and developing consistent messaging to clients from team members
  • Being an integral part of the Service Team for the length of the project
  • Working with a client to gain general understanding on decision trees, reporting structure, and project purpose
  • Creating internal awareness of client culture, historical sensitivities and context
  • Providing client insight and direction to project sub-teams to ensure end result meets client's neednbsp;

What you have:

  • Minimum 3 years of client service experience
  • Project management experience
  • Minimum 5 years retirement plan industry experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to negotiate and influence, with fellow project team members, client service team members, and external vendors/clients
  • Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners
  • Strong communications skills
  • Ability to develop strategic approaches to accomplish a given task
