Our Opportunity:

The Senior Statistical/Data Analyst will partner with business leaders to help develop analytics learning agendas and optimize marketing strategies through measurement feedback loops.nbsp;He/ she will work with statisticians, data engineers, marketing/media teams, and external vendors to deliver insights and solutions based on statistical and econometric analyses.

Displaying strong business acumen and communication skills, the Senior Manager will communicate analytical results to business partner in various settings to help drive understanding of marketing effectiveness. Our business partners place great emphasis on our ability to translate statistical and mathematical results in a way that tells a clear story and guides them in actionable decisions.nbsp;

What yoursquo;ll do:

  • Scope analytics projects including determining optimal analytical approach, identifying resources and assets needed, developing execution plans, and conducting analysis
  • Work independently or collaboratively throughout the complete analytics project lifecycle including data nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; extraction/preparation, analysis and documentation of results
  • Support development of tools and infrastructure to scale operations, increase efficiencies, and improve quality of results
  • Partner with technical and non-technical resources across the business to leverage their support and integrate ournbsp; efforts
  • Pro-actively analyze data to uncovernbsp;insights that increase business value and impact
  • Support Schwab bank and other businessnbsp;partners on a wide range of analytics projects from ad-hoc requests tonbsp;large-scale cross-functional engagements
  • Approach analytical problems with annbsp;appropriate blend of statistical/mathematical rigor with practicalnbsp;business intuition
  • Hold a point-of-view on the strengths andnbsp;limitations of statistical models and analyses in various businessnbsp;contexts and is able to evaluate and effectively communicate thenbsp;uncertainty in the results
  • Approach analyses in multiple ways innbsp;order to evaluate approaches and compare results
  • Solid business consultant with annbsp;analytical emphasis; promote angles not considered by the business andnbsp;influence those ideas
  • Optimize value and contribution to thenbsp;business by leveraging a practical and pragmatic style well centered onnbsp;critical path thinkingnbsp;

What you have:

  • B.S. degree in Statistics,nbsp;Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineeringnbsp;or similar quantitative field
  • Graduate degree in a quantitative and/ornbsp;MBA field highly preferred
  • 5+ yearsrsquo; experience in an analytical consultingnbsp;role (consulting to external clients and/or internal business partners)
  • Experience in financial services andnbsp;bank/ lending environments
  • Strong understanding of how analyticsnbsp;supports a large organization including being able to successfullynbsp;articulate the linkage between business decisions, business objectives,nbsp;and analytical approaches amp; findings
  • Excellent analytical skills withnbsp;demonstrated ability to solve problems
  • Strong SAS programming, SQL querying andnbsp;Excel data manipulation capabilities used in context of analytic insightnbsp;mining and marketing initiative performance measurement
  • Ability to leverage large transactionalnbsp;databases across multiple platforms
  • Outstanding oral and writtennbsp;communication with a proven ability to convey thoughts and findingsnbsp;through PowerPoint and other MS Office Suite Applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills tonbsp;successfully build long-term relationships with colleagues and businessnbsp;partners
