Our Opportunity:

Schwab is leading the way with innovative software solutions in our Business Process Management Technology group.  This position is focused on the management of our department level business workflows and document processing technology.  The team lead management position will require a deep understanding of current BPM, integration, document, and database technologies.  This team is highly visible and valued as their applications are responsible for the initiation of key business processes at Schwab.

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
  • Maintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by providing the leadership and vision aligned to organizational goals
  • Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with other group’s development managers
  • Communicate to staff about job expectations by providing coaching, counseling and performance appraisals
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution while empowering teams to self-organize
  • Build and maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Validate the delivery of end to end quality software solutions by actively reviewing Quality Assurance and Operational metrics
  • Ensure team’s adherence to disaster recovery, back-up procedures, and information security and control structures
  • Build and develop relationships with peers and key business team members

What you have:

  • 8+ years of professional experience and bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience managing a software development team
  • 5+ years of Enterprise integration technology experience with a focus on SOA/ESB/API Gateways, pub/sub queues, and real-time multi-tier messaging architecture
  • Experience with Mulesoft, Rabbit, Camel, Kofax (or other OCR technologies) a plus
  • Experience managing solutions with high volume distributed 24x7x365 system
  • 5+ years of software development experience with BPM applications where Pega is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience working with platforms that require strong configuration management
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams that follow Agile or similar iterative development methodologies
  • Experience with .NET C# and Java API development is highly desirable
  • Technical management experience to include strategic planning, developing and managing budgets, and leading technical team members
  • Good understanding of technical issues, designs, and engineering best practices
  • Skillful in problem solving and cross-organization collaboration
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in enterprise systems development
  • Financial services industry experience a plus
