What you’ll do: 

Alternative Investment Custody Services is seeking a Team Manager to lead business change management and oversee day-to-day operations. This will include utilizing the ADKAR model to successfully lead change initiatives that support business process transformation and broker dealer modernization strategic goals. The Team Manager will be responsible for managing a team and partnering with an external vendor in support of executing client requests, supporting business channel needs, and performing asset servicing on Alternative Investments held in Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. brokerage accounts. 

The ideal candidate is someone who is self-driven and a proven leader.  One who can not only inspire, motivate and effectively manage people at different stages in their career and professional development but also effectively apply the principals of Change Leadership.  This includes building effective teams through awareness, coaching, feedback, reinforcement, oversight, accountability as well as demonstrating sound business judgment.     

Some specific duties of those position include, but not limited to: 

  • Lead and coach team members to identify challenges and develop future state solutions
  • Align the team and resources (remove - strategy team’s strategy) to effectively support the Operations Organizational strategy
  • Support and develop a highly engaged and cross-functional team
  • Effectively recognize strategic business opportunities
  • Partner with the necessary organizations including Schwab Technology, Product Management, external vendors, and other internal business channels to deliver on the organizations AI Modernization strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with peers to improve processes, identify best practices, and better leverage (remove – utilize) resources 

What you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives
  • Strong leadership, motivational and coaching skills that cultivates a strong and engaging environment.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and ability to set priorities and proactively solve issues in a dynamic multi-tasking environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as focus on improving the client experience.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risk by adhering to department and firm policies and procedures.
  • Series 7, 63 licenses are required.
  • Series 9 & 10 (or 24) licenses are required (may consider Condition of Employment)
  • BA/BS preferred and /or equivalent work experience.
