Our Opportunity:

Release Manager Job function is the process of managing, planning, scheduling and controlling a software build through different stages and environments; including testing and deploying software releases. They provide confident leadership, works collaboratively with all participants in software development projects. This position also works with management to improve the software engineering delivery processes and practices associated with deploying and updating software and environments. Release management 

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities will include building the release calendar, working closely with the different domains and platforms to ensure release train boarding readiness and criteria for boarding and departure to production. The Release Manager will assist in managing project interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence to ensure the integrity of the release can be measured. 

What you have:

  • Manage key application release schedules, ad-hoc projects and/or key infrastructure initiatives
  • Problem Management - Manage key production issues until resolution.  This includes coordinating meetings, preparing minutes and follow-up on action items.
  • Document and manage project schedules, timelines, identify and mitigate risks and communicate them with key stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with several IT teams, cross-domain partners to manage timelines and project deliverables.
  • Liaise and manage key relationships between IT, business stakeholders and 3rd Party Vendor.
  • Responsibilities also include building the release calendar, working closely with the different domains and platforms to ensure release readiness for production.  Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors
  • The Release Manager will assist in managing project interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence to ensure the integrity of the release is measurable.
  • Advance planning of the release windows and cycles across the platform, taking into account enterprise change management schedules.  Provides leadership and coordination of release content and effort, based on the release manifest, pending service requests and third party applications.
  • Manages risk and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
  • Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities - Weekly Release Reporting  with all stakeholders (business, QA, Development )
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time to meet release criteria.
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
  • Manage and partner with business stakeholders to ensure priority work is addressed, sized and schedule for production.
  • Manages key information such as release procedures, service and component versions, dependencies, and notification lists.
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process.
  • Lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
