Our Opportunity:

The person in this role will be responsible for defining, developing, and delivering new capabilities associated with investment portfolio calculations. This is a mid-level product owner position, with an initial focus on investment income calculations, for use in retail client experiences on Schwab.com and the Schwab mobile app.

What you’ll do:

  • Take ownership of investment income calculations delivery, which includes;
    • Investigation and analysis of the current income data provided across Schwab’s various platforms, along with areas for improvement and enhancements
    • Create requirements and user stories for new features to support income calculations within the portfolio management domain
    • Managing the execution and delivery of prioritized features
  • Work closely with fellow portfolio management product owners, ensuring the quality and consistency of calculated information is maintained across the platform
  • Help to prioritize features and provide input into the overall portfolio management domain roadmap
  • Identify areas of opportunities for leveraging the portfolio management domain to expand and enhance client level reporting capabilities across Schwab’s various organizations and affiliates

What you have:

  • Good experience in financial services including an understanding over the range of financial product and account types available to consumers today. 
  • A foundational understanding of the concepts and principals involved in financial planning, investment portfolio management, and client reporting
  • High adaptability in managing an emerging platform through new and evolving consumer trends in financial data management. 
  • Experience working in or closely with Agile principled development teams
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with a variety internal partner platforms and stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exemplifying the vision and values of Schwab
  • Familiarity with fixed income products and their associate income calculations  (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture and RESTful service principles (preferred)
