What you’ll do:

The Payroll Consultant’s primary role is to support our internal and external partners to improve the payroll experience. The consultant will be responsible for supporting projects related to a client directed payroll change by performing tasks such as:
• Sending out payroll specifications
• Auditing test files
• Monitoring work requests to completion
• Researching complex issues to resolution
• Setting up systems for both inbound and outbound files
• Providing support on client calls when needed
• Ensuring daily work is completed in a timely manner by monitoring workflow and escalating needs to leadership

 What you have:

 

  • Advanced understanding of recordkeeping systems and other related software applications such as Excel
  • Identify and implement Best Practices among peers
  • Identify, research and escalate/resolve issues
  • Demonstrate advanced decision making skills
  • Mentor fellow employees
  • Be able to train peers on all processes
  • SME (subject matter expert) of team functions
  • Ability to identify risk and create and implement controls to minimize the risk
  • Establish preventative measures
  • Create a strong stable relationship with internal and external clients
  • Participate in projects that involve implementation of new systems/processes
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to complete advanced research items – eligibility issues, vesting issues, and work with internal partners for resolution or understanding of our systems
