Our Opportunity:

As a Senior Manager, Workforce Planning and OD, you will support the design and implementation of organizational strategic workforce plans.  You will also consult with HR and business leaders to identify critical workforce capabilities, gaps in the current workforce, and strategies to fill those gaps.  This role is key to helping Sr. Leaders make critical talent decisions that enable Schwab to meet its long term growth objectives.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with other team members in the development of the firm’s strategic workforce planning methodology, processes, and tools for effective workforce planning.
  • Provide thought partnership and consultation to HRBPs and business leaders in development of strategic workforce plans and strategies to address gaps. 
  • Lead and facilitate workforce planning initiatives including, but not limited to, critical role/capability identification, environmental scanning, gap analysis, risk analysis, and action planning.
  • Analyze and present the results of workforce planning activities to Sr. Executives in a way that compels action.
  • Collaborate with other talent and learning functions to share trends, develop solutions, and execute action plans. 
  • Leverage data and best practices to continuously improve practices across the organization.
  • Limited travel is required.

What you have:

  • 10 years in a Workforce Planning, Organization Development, or Human Resources Business Partner role for a large organization.
  • Experience developing and executing a strategic workforce plan.
  • Strong project management and change management skills.   Ability to work under tight deadlines; plan, organize and carry out multiple, detailed tasks with limited supervision.
  • Ability to influence without authority using strong consultation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to set clear goals and use data to drive results. 
  • Ability to anticipate obstacles and be prepared with contingency plans.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and has strong interpersonal-relationship skills at all levels, including business partners, management and support staff.
  • Graduate degree preferred in Talent Management, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, or other related advanced degree.
