Our Opportunity:

Perform as Senior Team Manager leading a group of Vendor Managers that make up the Automated Mailing Services Vendor Management team (AMS VMT). This team oversees Schwab’s print and mail vendor and works internally with Schwab business partners to meet their printed mailing needs. 

What you’ll do:

The Senior Team Manager will support, lead and develop a team that is responsible for reducing risk to the firm associated with the outsourced client communications to a print and mail vendor. They will be responsible for building strong relationships with the vendor management team members, internal business partners, and the print and mail vendor. This role will facilitate continuous improvement and solutions that deliver on internal business partners and their client’s printed communication needs.

Senior Team Manager of AMS VMT will be responsible for overseeing, supporting and developing the multiple vendor managers. This team monitors and manages the daily production of printed Schwab client communications for vendor processing. Some specific duties of this position include, but aren’t limited to: 

  • Lead and coach team members to identify challenges and develop future state solutions
  • Support and develop a highly engaged and cross-functional team
  • Provide oversight and support to multiple vendor managers monitoring and tracking daily work  through the vendor’s factories
  • Partner with Corporate Vendor Management to understand vendor risk and procurement policies to mitigate risk to the firm
  • Provide oversight and support of supervisory controls that ensure adherence to industry regulations and the timely meeting of defined SLAs
  • Develop strong relationships with team members, vendor contacts and business partners
  • Lead the team in designing and implementing business intelligence solutions/systems that  improve effectiveness and efficiency, while reducing risk to the firm
  • Create and align team’s strategy to effectively support the Operation’s Organizational strategy
  • Optimize client communications with internal business partners and vendors 

What you have:

  • A bachelor's degree or a minimum 5+ years of related people management experience, preferably in the vendor management or print and mailing environment
  • Strong leadership abilities with significant experience in successfully building, developing and leading teams
  • Self-motivated, flexible, enthusiastic with a good attitude and able to handle multiple deliverables
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, clear and concise writing skills, basic math and analytical skills
  • Proficient knowledge of PC’s and Microsoft office applications
  • Flexibility in assignments, duties and the ability to adjust work time to support team and operational needs
  • Ability to effectively train and work through others on the basic functions performed across the team
  • Flexibility to travel as business needs require- 6-10 domestic business trips annually
