Our Opportunity:

Do you want to be part of a Data Warehouse team managing over 120 terabytes of data and building the next generation analytics platform for a leading financial firm with over $2.7 trillion in assets under management?

At Schwab, the Global Data Technology (GDT) organization governs the strategy and implementation of the enterprise data warehouse and emerging data platforms.

We help Marketing, Finance and executive leadership make fact-based decisions by integrating and analyzing data. 

What you’ll do:

Primary responsibility of the candidate will be production support of ICV platform that will require on-call duties, production issue triaging, follow-up and commination. It will require partnering with fellow developers, testers, product owners, technical leads and architects and ensure ICV production environments and reliable, highly available and optimized.

Candidate will also be a part of ICV Agile team, and will be engaged through all stages of the software development cycle, with an opportunity to work on cutting edge technology and develop new skills. 

What you have:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience developing and implementing applications, particularly web-enabled applications using AngularJS, HTML5, ASP.NET web forms, MVC, JSON in either an academic or professional setting.
  • Strong interest in learning Agile development practices
  • Experience with databases (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding in web application environments and development tools, event-driven application development, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively Have a passion for problem solving, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and must be able to interact with all levels of technical and business teams
  • Proven ability to work independently or as an integral member of a team
  • Be a team player, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively across organizations and geographic locations
