Our Opportunity:

Charles Schwab Bank Business Trust Services (Schwab Bank) provides trust and custody services for qualified retirement plans, primarily 401(k) plans.  Schwab Bank serves Schwab’s bundled retirement product, and is the industry leader in providing trading and custody services through Independent Record Keepers.  Our goal is to provide excellent service in a rapidly growing business.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Primary contact for implementation activity relating to technical onboarding of Advisors, Independent Recordkeepers, and other Clients
  • Work with Clients to transmit different automated file types, including education and testing of detailed file specifications (UAT) and requirements for all automated file activity
  • Adapting Client systems to Schwab systems for efficient interaction, focusing on Client needs specific to the Clients they are serving, outside the box thinking
  • Support procedures and processes for new products and regulatory/technology updates
  • Establish meaningful, productive relationships with internal business partners (Sales, Legal, Operations), as well as our third party administrators/independent record keeper and Advisor clients
  • Work independently to oversee audits (internal and external), business reporting, and create presentations for technology prioritization cases
  • Partner with Schwab technology team to troubleshoot issues as they arise and set up Secure File Transfer Protocol
  • Submitting client feedback and changes into business queue. Advocate for client for enhancements.
  • Work with advisor/recordkeeping vendors such as Schwab Retirement Technologies, Relius, Omni, Schwab Performance Technologies, Advent, Orion, and others to implement new file types or technology
  • Work with Clients and Technical Client Services as it relates to clients access and user functionality on Schwab Advisor Center and Schwab Data Delivery
  • Assist with escalations in the day to day

 

What you have:

  • Minimum of 5 years within the retirement or financial industry
  • 3 + years combination of client services, conversions, and transition services experience within financial services industry
  • Previous experience with Recordkeeping, Portfolio Management, or other software systems related to exchange of data
  • Ability to multi-task among competing priorities and to work independently to meet deadlines within a dynamic, fast paced structured and ever changing environment
  • Interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Interact effectively and build strong relationships with internal and external clients at all levels
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Access
  • Must be detail oriented with strong analytic and research skills
  • College degree preferred
