Our Opportunity:

Corporate Treasury Services manages Schwab's relationships with external banks ensuring that Schwab maintains access to credit, liquidity, and banking services to support our operations. Corporate Treasury Services also supports various systems and projects related to Treasury Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, and Securities Lending. We provide subject matter expertise on enterprise projects related to firm cashiering and liquidity.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage banking relationships, including monitoring the quality of current services as well as evaluating, selecting, and implementing new products and services
  • Participate on treasury or corporate and cross-functional initiatives involving banking, funds movement, cashiering policies, procedures, and systems
  • Work with Schwab Corporate Vendor Management and legal counsel to complete risk assessments, due diligence, and negotiate agreements with banks
  • Analyze and present to management the impact of various projects and proposals to the firm's cash flows, profitability, financial controls, operational risk, and banking relationships
  • Support Schwab's strategic priorities by implementing efficient and cost effective banking arrangements and strategies that support spectacular customer service while managing risk and maintaining adequate controls
  • Manage and analyze the firm’s vendor bank compensation, including budget variance analysis, error resolution, and annual planning
  • Bank system user administration oversight
  • May participate on other Treasury or Corporate Finance projects involving capital and liquidity planning, credit, risk management, investments, borrowing, and financial analysis

What you have:

  • College degree in business, finance, or accounting.  CTP credential is a plus, but not required
  • 5-7 years in finance, operations, project management, or banking
  • Knowledge of treasury cash management, payment systems, banking systems, treasury best practices, and accounting
  • Experience with Treasury Workstations and / or SWIFT is a plus.
  • Ability to interact effectively with management and external bank contacts to resolve problems and propose new business practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
