Our Opportunity:

The Corporate Credit Research team is situated within Market and Investment Risk under the Corporate Risk Management organization.  The team’s mandate is to ensure strong counterparty credit quality through fixed income research and credit analysis in support of the investment portfolios and other corporate needs.  The team also contributes significantly to credit risk management by communicating exposures to senior management and other business partners, ensuring our policies and procedures reflect the firm’s established risk appetite and risk acceptance parameters, and maintaining a credit administration database system that identifies potential credit risk.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in developing our credit administration database system.  You will develop and execute internal controls, and perform all facets of reporting related to credit risk and exposures for risk committees, regulators, rating agencies and for our business partners. 

You will also conduct counterparty credit analysis and will recommend dollar and maturity limits for counterparties with a primary emphasis on broker-dealers.

What you’ll do:

  • Recommend and test new functionality/enhancements to our credit administration database system
  • Develop internal controls related to reporting and data integrity within the credit administration database system
  • Produce presentations for risk committees, regulators, and rating agencies
  • Generate timely reporting for our business partners and for regulatory filings
  • Collaborate with developers to automate reporting functions
  • Document the reporting process and internal controls surrounding data integrity
  • Monitor credit violation reports and resolve open issues
  • Conduct comprehensive credit analyses and provide surveillance of issuers and counterparties

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical, reporting and financial analysis skills
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience producing financial data presentations
  • A sound, high-level understanding of U.S. macro-economic factors
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with business partners and senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and to work independently
  • CFA candidate preferred
