Our Opportunity:

Charles Schwab Investor Online Services is responsible for the web, mobile and messaging platforms that serve Schwab Retail Clients. The Digital Solutions organization defines the experience and oversees the management of Schwab’s electronic channels (Schwab.com and mobile apps), and internal platforms used by Schwab service representatives and financial consultants. 

Our purpose is to providing tools and experiences that enable clients to achieve their financial objectives, while supporting the strategic growth of the firm.

The team is responsible for:

  • Strategy - Envision the future and build the near-term roadmap for our web and mobile strategies
  • Execution - On all aspects of technology product development including the definition, creation, development and implementation of the core solutions
  • Client service – Serve clients in our digital advice products with compelling experiences and strong portfolio management  
  • Partnership - Support client-facing employees in delivering for our clients (specifically web and mobile strategies) 

Schwab.com handles over 380 million client interactions annually.  For the Asset Transfer Team, that means platform and product management responsibilities for over 200 thousand move money page views per week.  We are the team that shapes the digital experience for our clients for a host of on-line deposit and payment functions, including:  ACH, Wire, Remote Deposit, Bill Pay, intra-company transfers and more.  We are seeking additional support as we embark on a multi-year funded initiative, Asset Transfer Modernization, which will transform our deposits and payments infrastructure and modernize the user interface for this critical client-facing functionality.  The portfolio of work will take place across several work streams and multiple projects giving the selected candidate an opportunity to expand their management skills and product development expertise in our quest to provide starkly superior asset transfer capabilities relative to our competition.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • You will build products and experiences which enhance Schwab’s digital platforms, and help to develop new ideas based on market analytics and interactions with stakeholders, customers and prospects.
  • You will fulfill the product owner role in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, and product demonstrations.
  • You will work with technical counterparts and key venders to define product release requirements and investigate production issues as they arise.
  • You may work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy and provide relevant and concise updates to executive management teams.
  • You may also serve as the internal and external evangelist for our product offering. 

What you have: 

  • Strong product management skills and experience
  • Experience with payment and deposit functionality such as wires, ACH and check processing systems.
  • Good understanding and/or experience with financial services regulations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile methods and processes.
  • Superior communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills.
  • Curiosity to continually reevaluate existing designs.
  • Ability to track multiple projects (3-4) going on all at once.
  • Effective relationship builder--ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels of the organization as well as various personality types.
  • Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.
