Our Opportunity:

Schwab is recruiting to hire a driven, results-oriented Senior Technical Analyst who shares our passion for technology, innovation and excellence. Our main goal here at Schwab is to transform people’s lives by changing the way the world invests. We are in the midst of re-architecting and rebuilding our core enterprise software platform to support our rapidly growing and evolving business. The Senior Technical Analyst will excel in a dynamic, fast-moving and agile environment and is passionate about understanding and documenting complex business requirements. The candidate will work aside a team of seasoned engineers whose main objective is to maintain all aspects of the overall software development lifecycle and ensure the on-time, quality delivery of software product releases.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Demonstrated track record of driving projects to meet business requirements and challenging delivery dates
  • Documenting the use cases/user stories and functional requirements from project business requirements and as-is system behavior
  • Documenting system impacts, data flows and exchange between systems
  • Solid understanding of brokerage accounting, compliance and operational risk functionalities
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skillsWorking with technology team to refine project requirements and review designs and test plan results to confirm that line of business goals are met
  • Working with product owners, architects, and line of business partners to develop and define technology project scopes, requirements and operational impacts (migrations support, etc)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective communicator at all levels of the organizations
  • Ability to allocate time effectively across multiple competing priorities
  • Go-getter, fierce task-master and solution-oriented attitude

 

What you have:

  • 8+ years of business analysis experience on software development projects
  • 5+ years of business analyst experience working on complex projects, preferably in finance industry
  • IT development experience is a plusExpert at eliciting, writing and managing user requirements/stories, use cases
  • Expert at documenting business processes using industry best practices and standard tools (flowcharts, activity/interaction diagrams)
  • UAT test experience, including test planning, test script writing, test execution, defect management/resolution
  • Strong database query skills and ability to create database queries to validate current production data against acceptance data for UAT test results
  • Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with a team and individually
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
