Our Opportunity:

The Senior Manager, Sales Business Intelligence drives value by providing provocative, differentiating analytics to the sales organization. The core foundation of the role breaks down into three segments: sales analytics and reporting, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems strategy and development, and sales/client data management. This is a highly visible development position requiring interaction with the Compliance Solutions Sales Management team, Relationship Managers, and other Compliance Solutions business leaders and partners to drive a wide variety of value-added initiatives. The opportunity and scope of responsibility for this role is large providing significant growth opportunities for the right candidate. 

What you’ll do:

Sales Analytics and Reporting

  • Support sales objectives by implementing an information management and business intelligence strategy
  • Devise and promote creative data visualization to derive actionable intelligence
  • Support the Managing Director of Sales Operations with data and analysis for sales strategy and planning initiatives

Sales System Infrastructure

  • Act as the Salesforce product owner maintaining responsibility for the management and welfare of the CRM platform at all stages of its lifecycle
  • Create and implement a roadmap/strategy for the CRM platform that enables more effective sales analytics through robust user adoption and design
  • Work with Relationship Managers and Sales Management to gain a rich understanding and document their CRM, reporting, and analytical needs
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • User Acceptance Test (UAT) platform enhancements to ensure consistency with requirements
  • Develop and deliver technical change communication and training to sales team

Data Management

  • Develop programs to improve and maintain the integrity of sales data
  • Write and maintain SQL Server database code/stored procedures as needed
  • Use SQL to query backend systems with the goal of data visualization for sales and business management
  • Fulfill ad hoc data analysis requests for sales leadership
  • Identify data quality issues and implement validation and controls to improve the quality of data

What you have:

Our ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial self-starter; and have a proven ability to deliver results, with a clear focus on providing business insights and the ability to anticipate and resolve problems with their own initiative. An ideal candidate for this role will have the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. An analytical, computer science/information systems or business focus highly preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in business analytics, systems design, and/or data management required. Financial services industry experience highly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large data sets and an ability to analyze, summarize, and transform data into actionable insights
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Access, SQL Server Management Studio, Tableau and the desire to introduce new tools to the sales environment that will maximize analytic capabilities
  • Proficiency using Microsoft PowerPoint to convey information succinctly but clearly for multiple levels of consumption
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work through complex technical situations and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong project management and organization skills, with the ability to effectively manage several projects at once from original concept through delivery
  • Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills (strategic and tactical) coupled with the ability to focus on the most vital areas of the business
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com preferred
  • Ability to drive work independently
  • Ability to periodically travel for client and team events
