Our Opportunity:

The Banking Technology organization provides strategy and technology partnership to Schwab Bank, the 14thth largest bank in the U.S. Our strategy and technology partnership ensures delivery of a best in class set of applications selected and designed to support key banking products and services for our clients. The application portfolio is a combination of SaaS and in-house developed applications. The Banking Technology Technical Project Manager will utilize proven project management and leadership skills to guide the matrixed in successful delivery of complex software development and vendor delivery projects in a fast paced and challenging environment. 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage 3 – 5 concurrent mid to large-sized projects
  • Lead and coordinate matrix project teams, including external vendor representatives
  • Develop integrated project delivery plans and manage milestone delivery across multiple technology domains and external
  • Create and manage resource plans, provide project budget and sizing information
  • Identify and develop mitigation plans for project risks and issues
  • Coordinate project deliverables with overall release and delivery management
  • Deliver projects within structured governance framework 

What you have:

  • Capability to manage a dynamic workload, aligning  with business and technical partners on priorities and deliverable dates
  • Highly motivated, delivery oriented, organized approach with demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Product Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  •  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate effectively to varying levels within the organization
  • Ability to develop relationships with vendor, business and technical partners
  • Proven experience with iterative development (Agile) methodologies and automated testing tools

 

Technical/Functional Qualifications
     Minimum qualifications include:
     • BS/BA degree, technology related preferred
     • 5 years prior experience managing and delivering technical or software development projects of increasing complexity
     • PMI – PMP Certification highly desired
     • Experience with JIRA and Atlassian tool suite a plus
