Our Opportunity:

The Branch Onboarding Service & Support (BOSS) Team is part of Sales Enablement which is responsible for owning and supporting the core processes for Independent (IB) and Company-managed (CMB) branches. Both the Independent and company branches are responsible for growing a branch model that expands Schwab's retail branch footprint. This broader geographic footprint will help Schwab's high-service, high-value brokerage model reach millions more investors. Having more local points of contact will help Schwab build on our strong national brand, capture a greater share of assets, and come closer to delivering our promise to retail investors. 

What you’ll do:

The Branch Onboarding Service & Support Sr. Specialist will provide support that focuses on 2 distinct areas – the Independent Branch Program Office (IBPO) and Branch Info Changes (BIC) 

For the IBPO, this person will work with a team that supports new IBLs to ensure they are successfully onboarded and are set up for success when opening their Schwab Independent Branch.  Additionally, they provide support to existing IBLs with regards to staffing and ongoing support for their businesses. 

He/she will have the following responsibilities:

  • Execute on a set of tasks required to onboard and manage non-employees through the Independent Branch Program Office
  • Serve as “front door” for all IBS related issues and proposed enhancements
  • Help orient IBLs to Schwab systems and resources
  • Assist with managing and reporting out updates and changes to the broader group
  • Respond to inquiries to the Independent Branch Program Office email box
  • Develop and maintain strong internal relationships with key partners: IBS team, Sales Enablement, Partner Support, National Servicing Desk, Compliance, and others
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with IBLs and their staff
  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and recommending improvement to the core process
  • Assist with ad hoc projects to support business needs
  • Deliver outstanding business results

For BIC, this person will work with a team that supports the Branch Network by assisting with the management of a database that supplies branch data to several downstream systems, including MARS, Sales Analytics and schwab.com thru POGO. 

He/she will have the following responsibilities:

  • Coordinate changes for branch openings, branch changes and branch relocations to ensure data integrity with downstream consumers
  • Work with Local Search and outside vendors on GOOGLE, YAHOO and other search engine escalations
  • Respond to inquiries to the Branch Info Changes email box re: access issues, manager changes and other branch changes and updates
  • Assist with ad hoc projects to support business needs
  • Liaison between branches and Registration to ensure FINRA reporting for branches is current
  • Deliver outstanding business results 

What you have:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a financial services—service and operations,  project management
  • Full commitment and passion to serving the needs of franchisees, clients, employees, and shareholders 
  • High focus on execution and business-accountability
  • Advanced technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office and the aptitude to learn new programs, as well as easily utilize multiple applications simultaneously
  • Preferred working knowledge of Schwab internal systems, tools, and resources; including but not limited to Client Central, MARS, and IWIN
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to execute process improvements and solutions
  • Ability to gain the respect, trust, and support of leadership, partners, and peers
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in an environment that deals with highly confidential information
  • Proven analytical skills with a level of attention to detail
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including being able to synthesize data, develop recommendations, and influence partners
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight of day to day responsibilities
  • Active FINRA Series 7 & 63 (or 66) licenses preferred; but not required
