What you’ll do:

The optionsXpress Margin Specialist is responsible for overseeing operations that monitor and maintain retail stock, option, and futures requirements. The Margin Specialist will also ensure operations are compliant with Federal Reserve regulations and other security laws and regulations. The role includes extensive communication with retail customers about leverage related issues.

This person should have experience working across cross functional teams and excellent communication skills. Accuracy and attention to details are a must. This person will be communicating directly with clients and must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. They must have passion and skills necessary to drive excellent client satisfaction.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing, issuing and explaining options, stock, futures, and related margin calls to retail customers.
  • Resolving margin issues related to exercise and assignment of options, day trading, and complex option combination requirements.
  • Interacting with firm principals, risk, compliance, and customer service departments.
  • Providing general customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Performing requirement calculations on complex option based portfolios. 

What you have: 

  • A minimum 3 years in brokerage experience in client support or operations
  • An active and valid Series 7 license is required, and 3 and 4 as preferred
  • An active and valid Series 63 license is required (may be offered as a 120 day Condition of Employment)
  • Knowledge of equity and derivative product margin requirements
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of investment products and industry regulations
  • Experience communicating with internal clients and delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience resolving issues and making complex decisions
  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills with the ability to utilize at least 5 different applications at any one time including MS Excel and MS Access
  • Ability to execute with high regards to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a high speed, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
