Our Opportunity:

The GDT Marketing technology team is seeking an individual capable of implementing, integrating and maintaining systems that are critical to marketing operations. Primarily this is an IBM (UNICA) Campaign, Optimize and Detect Administration role managing the infrastructure. This individual will also provide solution architecture leadership in emerging Marketing technologies such as Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Oracle Real Time Decisioning, and Hadoop. This is a great opportunity for a strong Technical Lead/Systems Administrator. As a member of a growing marketing technology thought leadership team, this role will be integral in taking Schwab’s marketing automation architecture to the next level.

What you’ll do:

  • As a Systems Administrator you will be the lead support contact of an enterprise level marketing/CRM application platform
  • The marketing team which focuses on cross channel campaign and offer management will be your primary business partner
  • You will lead application support projects and production issue handling
  • You will initiate application enhancement recommendations and interface with data warehouse, reporting and analytics teams
  • You will partner with business clients to provide technical expertise on data flow, design and implementation of marketing campaigns
  • You will provide mentoring and training to less senior members of the team
  • As application lead you will ensure the team’s adherence to SDLC process, establish release roadmaps for enhancements and maintain architecture and operational documentation
  • You will lead stakeholder meetings and collaborate with business clients on prioritization and issue resolutions

What you have:

  • Perform Campaign software configuration updates using change management processes
  • Apply application patches and updates  
  • Monitor the Campaign application server to ensure high performance execution
  • Troubleshoot performance problems on the campaign application server
  • Debug scripts (bash, PowerShell)
  • Troubleshoot errors and performance issues encountered in user campaign flowcharts
  • Tune the application server configuration for efficient use of database resources
  • Implement integrations with systems and applicatio
  • Strong skills in SQL, Stored Procedures, DDL/DML, MS SQL, Teradata experience preferred
  • Proficient in database marketing principals, concept and techniques
  • Strong experience in Shell scripting
  • Experience with WebSphere a plus
  • Excellent communication, project management and organizational skills
  • Experience working with the IBM (Unica) Campaign or Contact Optimization software
  • Skill in triaging technical issues/request queue
  • Experience with Unix shell environments (Cygwin, MKS toolkit)
  • Thrives on solving challenging problems
