Our Opportunity:

Senior Analysts are responsible for delivering thoughtful, insightful contributions across a range of high-level strategic projects. They work in a team setting, working with multiple constituents across Schwab’s business units. They typically take ownership of one or more work streams, perform data-driven analysis, synthesize large quantities of information to generate insights, and contribute recommendations for strategy development 

Key Goals include the following:

  • Support CEO, Board, and executive team through thought partnership, strategy formulation, and analysis
  • Provide strategic and analytical support for financial planning, including sensitivity analysis and trend analysis for revenue and expense drivers
  • Proactively develop and maintain strategic perspective on macroeconomic factors, industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging area of opportunity and competition
  • Drive alignment of long-term strategy across business lines and functions and inform resource allocation
  • Cultivate strong linkages across our strategic, financial, capital, and risk management processes 

What you have:

  • Must have a high degree of comfort with ambiguity and moving forward independently on unfamiliar and complex topics
  • Must be resourceful, with an intuitive understanding of how / where to get information and apply to project work
  • Must be able to develop complete understanding of the “Schwab story” and how that impacts strategic decision making across the firm
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to deliver accurate work on tight deadlines when needed
  • Advanced financial modeling experience with solid understanding of financial concepts
  • Advanced Powerpoint skills and ability to create compelling written communications for executive audiences
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels throughout the firm
  • 2–4 years of work experience in investment banking, consulting, or internal strategy function
  • Prior experience in financial services preferred
